Scrap Pit: inside the busiest garage under the stadium
Carry parts, fix the wrecks, hire robot helpers and shoo the raccoon. A look inside Scrap Pit, the free garage management game under the stadium.
Every match in the Scrap League ends with a pile of wrecks. Somebody has to fix them before the next kick-off. In Scrap Pit, that somebody is you, the Pit Chief. It's a free management game in your browser: no download, one finger, and a garage that keeps getting bigger.
How a shift works
Hold and drag to walk. Walk past a rack and parts stack up on your back: tyres, armour plates and, later, paint. Engines are heavy, so you carry them in your hands, one at a time. Walk up to a bay and the parts the wreck needs fly onto it. The bay bolts them on while you go and fetch the next load.
A fixed car drops cash on the floor, pulls a little stunt and drives out through the tunnel. Walk over the cash to grab it. Stand on a price tile to spend it: new bays, helper robots, a tyre conveyor. You can't lose a shift. It ends when you hit the quota, and then you clock out.
Your crew
You won't be alone for long. Sprocket is your first helper robot, and every bay has a slot for one. Lugnut carries an extra part. Mopsy wipes up spills. Sparky puts out fires. Chrome Dome even carries the paint for you.
Then there's the wildlife. Gasket the garage cat naps by the wall and purrs when you walk past. Bandit the raccoon steals parts, so walk straight at her and she drops them.
Three garages so far
You start in the Stadium Pit, right under the pitch. Thirty shifts later the champion rolls in: The Mauler, driven by "Brick" Okafor. It needs everything your garage makes, and it pays five times over. Fix it and you can move on to the Scrapyard Chop Shop, with its donor pile and a crane that drops mystery wrecks. After that comes the Night Body Shop, where neon kits ride on top and the power goes out. The game says the next garage is coming in an update.
Tips from the pit
- Fill your back before you walk. The bay takes everything it needs in one go.
- Plan engine trips. An engine slows you down, but the stack on your back stays put.
- Wrong parts? The recycle bin empties your stack.
- Paint goes last. A bay only takes paint once every other part is in.
- Beat the VIP clock for 60% extra, and fix cars fast. Calm customers tip the most.
- Grab the surprises. A golden wrench fits parts instantly for a few seconds. A truck spill means free parts by the door. Walk past the glowing jukebox and everyone works 20% faster.
- Pay in bits. A price tile keeps what you put in, so you can walk off and come back.
Back rack and boots first. Sponsor later. The BEST BUY tag points at the cheapest card you can afford.
