Bay Park tips: clear the car park before the fan bus

The match is over. The fans want to go home. But the Dust Lot outside the stadium is jammed solid. Bay Park is a parking puzzle with one rule: tap a machine and it drives straight the way its arrow points. It's free to play online, there's no download, and it is very hard to put down.

How it plays

Every machine has an arrow on its roof. Tap it and it drives that way, off the lot and down the road. If something is in the way, it lurches, bonks and rolls back. That's a bump. If the thing in its way is already driving off, it simply waits and follows.

Clear every machine for LOT CLEAR!. No bumps at all earns three stars and a PERFECT LOT! Meanwhile the fan bus drives along the top road. Beat it and you get the bus bonus, 40% extra tips. Every bump gives the bus three seconds. You can't actually lose a lot, because every one can be solved. A mistake only costs tips and stars.

Meet the lot

Captain Kerb, the head valet, runs the place with his whistle. The machines come in sizes, from one-bay scooters and carts to three-bay vans, tow trucks and campers. Then there's Lulu the capybara, asleep in a bay. Tap her and she wakes up, eats a melon and waddles off. Machines always stop short of her, so she never costs you a bump.

Every fifth level, a boss is buried in the jam: the TEAM BUS, the VIP LIMO, the FAN FLOAT and the TROPHY TRUCK. Get them out for ten times the tips.

Tips from the valet hut

1. Follow the arrow, not the nose. Some machines have their reverse lights on and back out.
2. Look all the way down the lane. Some machines look free but are blocked further along.
3. Chain your taps. You can tap a machine queued behind one that's leaving. It waits and follows. No bump.
4. Wake Lulu early if she's sitting across several exits.
5. Turntables turn. A machine on a turntable leaves the way the turntable's arrow points.
6. Count the barriers. A barrier lifts once its number of machines has left, so clear the others first.
7. Slow down near the end. Each bump costs a star and bus time. Patience keeps the bonus.

Spend your tips

The Valet Hut sells four upgrades. Tip Jar is the cheap first buy and adds 8% tips per level. Quick Keys makes machines drive out faster, which helps you beat the bus. Bumper Pads soften one bump per lot, so it costs no bus time. And the Tow Truck gives you a hook to lift one machine straight out of the jam.

Replaying a lot for three stars fills the Star Meter too. Every nine stars opens a Star Crate.

Look first, tap second. The lot isn't going anywhere. Well, not until you tap it.
